My History

My first introduction to Beastie Boys, where at age 14. I had heard the Licensed To Ill record weile on holiday, and agreed to to buy a tape a send to him, so I could get a copy of this tottaly amazing record. Down at the eletronic shop to get a tape, I glanced over to the record department, and to my big suprice, there they had Licensed to ill on Record, I forgot all about cassette tape and went an bought the record instead, not ever having a record player. But the store did not have it on cassette tape so I went with the record, to my parents big regret, since I had to use there stereo to play my first record ever bought.

After no stop listening to Licensed to Ill for a long time, the interest in Beastie Boys faded out and when the relase of Paul´s Boutique came out, the sound was so different that I at first glance did no go and buy it. A freind of mine had bought it on CD and we did hear it a few times, until he enden up selling me the CD.

Then something magical happened in 1992, when they relased Check Your Head, I was a reborn Beastie Boys fan, and listened to Check Your Head as much as I had done with Licensed to Ill. Now allso giving Paul`s Boutique a second chance, and the record starten to grew on me, and today I as many else find Paul´s Boutique to be one of there Masterpieces. It was also after 1992, I really began to get a bigger and bigger collection, which has grown ever since, some periods more than others, I especially like to collect the Licensed to Ill relases, as there are some many differens prints out there and at the moment I have around 80 different copy´s of LTI on CD, Cassette and LP.
